West Ham United have given up on their intention to sign Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma. Because the players demand too much wages.
West Ham United have abandoned plans to sign Kurt Zouma as the player demands £120,000-a-week wages.
West Ham have opened talks with Chelsea for a fee of £20 million over a fee the 26-year-old defender has given the club the green light to move. He has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2023.
Zouma earns around £65,000 a week at Chelsea. But with Zuma wanting a salary of up to £120,000 a week West Ham therefore refused to comply with the player’s request. Because it will cause problems with their wage structure.
West Ham United boss David Moyes only wants to buy Kurt Zouma, not wanting to be included in a deal for their midfielder Declan Rice.
